Success!

I am happy to say that Colton has more than bypassed his goal of $1,000 during out Angel Tree fundraiser. I will continue to advocate and fundraise for this little guy. He needs a family. I would like to thank Tiffany for her help with raising money for "my" sweet boy. I will be helping to move other children up to the $1,0000 mark. We just had a 24 hour challenge to get everyone up to $250 and it was met. It was a matching grant challenge so it bumped many children to the goal of $1,000. It was very exciting. We still have a ways to go to get every one to $1,000. $35 donation to any child gets you a beautul ornament. I have 3! Love them! So choose a child and donate! http://static.reecesrainbow.org/angeltree2012/

Oh Baby Colton

I am Officially Matched with Colton again this year for Angel Tree. I made sure I requested him as soon as I could. I love him more than anything and wish beyond wishes that I could save him, that I can be his mom. Since I can't I am determined to raise as much money for him as I can and hopefully find him a family. Someone else (Tiffany)is partnering up to help me because she also loves him so very much. Stay tuned for our fundraising attempts.

Sweet Brigita

Brigita met her Mommy. I cannot find the words to tell you how happy I am for this child. At one point I thought God was calling me to adopt her but turns out he wanted me to become friends with Dee who he chose to be her mommy. Congratulations Dee. She is beautiful!!!!

Help me get a Passport

Many times I have been asked to travel with a family to another country to rescue thier children. Right now I have two families possibly Needing my help. So I have decided to try to raise the money for the passport just in case. Also, I will be prepared if someone else asks. I think this would be an amazing opportunity as its not likely that my husband and I will be able to internationally adopt. I don't have a lot of extra money since my extra goes to helping others with adoption funds. I would appreciate it if you could help me with just a few dollars. I would like to do an auction but I'm not sure if I can get items. But please email me at christinascott23@aol.com if you have something to donate. Thank you.

I CAN'T TAKE A BREAK!!!

I know some people may be wondering why I am constantly doing an auction or a giveaway or some sort of fundraiser.  Sometimes I want to take a break but no sooner do I help one person, child or family the next is needing some help.  Do I blame the orphans?  No.  Do I blame the families fighting through paperwork and fundraising and frustration?  No. The orphans need advocates to fight for them.  The families need encouragement and funds for the children's' ransoms'.  Right now I can't adopt but pray someday I can.  But right now I just can't take a break.  This is why:

http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=colton

http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=cora+lynne

http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=celine
http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=denny
The above are 4 children who have advocates fighting like mad to raise their funds and find them families.

 http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=jenks
These 2 have a family in COUNTRY right now but they are short funds to get home due to some increase in fares and circumstances out of their control.

This family is also in country right now about $1,000 short. Their blog is:  http://becausehefirstadoptedus.blogspot.com/

This sweet boy has a family fighting for him.  I have grown to love his family and can't wait until Vinnie is home safe.  This family is also waiting on travel dates but are not yet fully funded.  Their blog is:  http://sheffieldadoption.blogspot.com

This little one is waiting for her parents to come back for her since due to changing laws they couldn't adopt her when they adopted her "sister" until she turned 5.  Now they are in a rush to get funds.  They need $14,500!!!!! Their blog is: http://6littlehogelands.blogspot.com

http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=morse
This little beauty has a mommy fighting real hard to raise funds for her.  She stays up really late making bow after bow to sale.  Kenzie (Xenia) is in an expensive country.  They are about $8,000 short.  There is an online auction going on for this family on my face book under my events.   "Help Kenzie home."  Their blog is:  http://love–conquers–all.blogspot.com

http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=jaco
This sweet boy has a family coming who have been fundraising thier booties off.  Jaxon is in an expensive country so they are short about $25,000 still. :-(  Their blog is:   http://theuplook.blogspot.com/.

You cannot look at these faces and tell me to take a break.  These kids might not survive if we "take a break."  These children need us and I am sorry if all my fundraisers bug you but I'm helping to make a difference....Are you?

All Reeces Rainbow FSP's are listed under the kids picture in case you feel the desire to donate. The blogs are also posted.  Some people are doing fundraisers....others just need prayers.

Giveaway For Gracelynn and Delaney (Kiki & Debbie)

    • Meet Gracelynn and Delaney (Kiki & Debbie on RR)
Gracelynn (Kiki)

Delaney (Debbie)

Today I saw a post that made me stop in my tracks.  Yes, I advocate for many kids and I help as many families as I can but when I saw this post from Jamie Coleman God told me to reach out.
  • Well sometimes when it rain it pours! We should be getting our travel date any day now and we are still about $3500 short on funds for our first trip and remaining fees! My computer cras...hed so I can not blog, our speedometer went out in my car and I got caught speeding (I thought I was doing the speed limit), my crib for one of our new little one has been recalled, my cell phone glass shattered, a...nd I am on the edge of a minor melt down! I would like to do some kind of catchy fundraiser but to be honest, I don't even know where to start today! So I am going to be plain old honest! If you can help us get even a dollar closer to our goal, it would be greatly appreciated! I don't have any great prizes to hand out or a fun drawing to enter you in! But, our God who sees all, knows all and provides, will see your efforts and thank you in ways I never could have!!!!! I am not a beggar, but could use some help, prayer and encouragement!!! Know i am praying for each of you too!! www.calledtograce.blogspot.com
Upon talking to this mother, I was told
    • "We had all the money in December, and then our son was in the hospital, our daughter was flight air lifed in February, and we have medical bills out our tails."  She also said "This is Satan rallying against us to keep Delaney and Gracelynn as orphans." Satan will not win.

No one can predict what will happen, but despite these challenges this family is still fighting to rescue these precious children.
Let us not love with words or tongue, but in action and truth.  John 8:8

Lets Move Mountains for DennY!

http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=Denny

This adorable child is Denny, and he will be six soon. He is in desperate need of a family. My friend Christine is  determined to help him find one. The goal is to  get Denny to the 'Sizable Grants' page this month, where he will be more visible. He needs $2500 in his grant to move to that page..
Right now hes at 1790.00
He is RR's June child of the month.
Can you help? Donate, Share, Pray!!!

To sweeten the pot Christine has offered to donate 2 Adult tickets to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  They are worth $70. They expire August 31, 2012 (THIS YEAR)
The Aquarium is located at  886 Cannery Row Monterey, CA 93940. So this is a LOCAL prize.

Doesn't this look like fun!

BUT I decided we need to reach other donors as well.  Who knows maybe Denny's family is not in California.  So we need to entice everyone.  So I have added a $20 starbucks card to the pot.  :-)

How you enter:  Donate any amount ($5 or geater) to Denny's fund at http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=Denny or share on facebook.

On June 25, 2012 at 5 pm Pacific Time, we will use random.org. to find a winner.  We will have two winners.  Please comment here and let us know you donated and which item you want to be entered for.

Thank you all for helping us get Denny to the moving mountains page.  Please look for his family!

After you have given your gift it will be crossed off the list.  (I used small increments so everyone could donate but feel free to donate the whole cost of something if you feel led).

Could you Imagine????

What if you fund-raised and fought to save not one, but two babies for months and months??  What if you did all you could to raise money?? What if you got so close and you got a travel date without being fully funded?  I am not adopting.  Nor have I.  I know its happened before but I personally cannot imagine the anxiety with the uncertainty not having all you need. .  .

Rececca and Mark Jenks are leaving in 2 weeks to get their children.  The country they are in is a one trip place.  But its a loooong one trip. Mark is going home to be with the teenagers after court.

So, me being the nosy person I am, I asked. "What happens if you don't get the $6300." The response I got horrified me.  She said "I will be stuck in country".  Can you even imagine?  I know God will provide. They know God will provide.  But if we could just help a little?

I know I'm not good with words.  Also my own fundraising attempts have been hit or miss.  But all I do know if this women is incredible.  Never have I "met" a more faithful, loving, awesome person.  Please lets help this mommy go get her babies!

These children are counting on us!

http://reecesrainbow.org/27586/sponsorjenks
Go here to make a tax deductible donation

Their fsp needs to read 25,000.00 to be fully funded and as of right now its at  $18,838.00

You can donate until they are home so don't think its too late.  That's about 2 months of donations that can still be given.

If you can't donate please Pray and Share.
 Thank you and God Bless!

Homecomings!!!

I had the privilege of witnessing 2 homecomings of 2 very precious babies.  These 2 families I helped fundraise.  I shouted and prayed for them.  Misha Chellson was my first airport homecoming.  It took all my will power not to lose it.  When I took him in my arms I knew the reason I fight so hard for these kids.  My husband has also become more involved with advocating and Reeces Rainbow.  I am so happy he was there.  Here's a few special pictures from that amazing experience.

Remember that was my first airport homecoming.  My 2nd was with Olivia Herrington.  It was 3 days later.  I was a pro by then.

All I can say is the experiences were something I will never, ever forget.  Misha Chellson and Olivia Herrington are the reason I continue to fight for orphans. Thank you Beth and Melissa were allowing me to be a part of your journey!!!
