1 year ago Putin chose to give many kids a death sentence

Every day I am reminded of the kids in Russia who cannot be adopted thanks to the ban Putin put on US adoptions.  My heart breaks daily for the parents who held their kids in the arms and said "we will be back." Yet, they were not allowed.  Everyday I learn of another child who was caught in the ban.

Please take a moment to pray for all the children stuck and their families and advocates.

Natasha, Nico, Micah, Yana, Carina, Celine, Cora Lynn, Preston.......and so many more.

These children are growing up without a family's love.

Pray for a miracle.

Gift Wrapping for Barnes and Nobles

Ok so my Card Fundraiser was a total flop.  Not one person wanted to buy a box of cards.  So moving on to the next fundraiser.  It was an auction but again didn't go so well. 

Now I am teaming up with some other warriors and we are going to do a huge auction benefitting mutliple Angel Tree children.

This means I need auction items for Orren.  It means other warriors need items too.   We would appreciate your help.

1st Fundraiser for Orren

My first fundraiser for Orren will be Cards for a Cause through Usborne books.

Each box of 30 cards costs $30. Think about how much you usually spend on a card. It's far more than $1! The cards are unique and you can choose All Occasion cards or Kids cards. Orren's grant will get $13 of each box sold! All of the cards will be shipped to me. If you are local, I will deliver them to you. If you are not local, I will ship them to you for an additional $4 charge. All payments can be sent to my paypal account using the email christinascott23@aol.com If you are local, you can write me a check and I will pick it up. I will pay the Usborne consultant and then make a donation to Orren's grant. I will be taking orders from now until October 12th.

Angel Tree

I wasn't sure I was going to do Angel tree this year. I have been Colton's AT warrior for the last two years and haven't really became as attached to a child since. But I looked through the RR kiddos and decided to go for it. I have been matched with my first choice. Orren. I'm going to try to get back into blogging because I know I have business cards with my blog on it so I need it to be updated. Stay tuned for fundraisers for Orren. First one will be an auction and I would appreciate any items people may want to donate. Auction will start middle of October and end November 1 which is when payment will be due. Please help Orren reach his $1,000 goal and help him find a family.

The Youngs! Pancake Fundraiser.

I met Michelle and James recently and they are a wonderful family. We had 2 fundraisers for them. A BBQ (Thanks to the sisterhood) and a pancake breakfast. I ran the pancake breakfast fundraiser. It was something new that none of us here in Sacramento had tried. We didn't make as much as I had hoped but it was fun and we brought in $400. They still need $10,000 to be fully funded and are traveling soon. Update on Colton

Colton's family is fully funded. I am so happy he will have a family soon. His family has ran into a few set backs but hopefully he will be home for Christmas.

Heartache

I never realized how much heartache was involved with loving orphans. The situation with Russia has made me so sick. Every time I turn around someone is telling me there were adopting from Russia and now they can't. Kids I prayed for and helped fundraise for. Its sad. I have other things my heart hurts for but I can't share at the moment. But I just wanted to blog quickly so you all know I am still here.
